"Kind People at Operation Paperback, I wanted to pass along my thanks for everyone who helps to collect the books and have them shipped out to us. Although I work long hours, while traveling there is dead time, where a book is an ideal means of passing the time. Similarly, a little bit of reading in the evenings takes the edge of the day's work and allows my mind to wander to another time and place. Your books come in handy, and they can be interesting as well. Even if I read one outside of my normal comfort zone, they help with filling the time. For other people, who may have more on demand jobs, with long periods of being ready in between, I am sure that they appreciate books that reach them. I may have volunteered to serve, but people, like you, who volunteer without pay and without much recognition are equally deserving of recognition.
